Why is continuous education required?

Due to the dynamic technological, economic and social development in the last decades, lifelong learning became a must in all occupations. In order to maintain and improve their competences, GCDFs should seek opportunities for further training and development in the field of career development and facilitation. Each GCDF is required to undergo at least 75 hours of continuous education during the 5 years of certification.

 

How to obtain these 75 hours of further training?

These hours can be acquired through participation to events organized by NBCC Bulgaria or by any other training provider. All topics related to the GCDF areas of competence and fields of practice are eligible.

All kinds of training events can grant hours of continuing education - workshops, conferences, seminars, presentations, study groups, talks on topics considered interesting and important by the career counseling community, as well as participation (as a learner) in projects and activities in the field.

The 75 hours of continuing training are demonstrated with certificates, diplomas and other documents proving the attendance of the respective training events. NBCC Bulgaria recommends that GCDFs use a simple template for continuous education for each single event.

 

How to use the form?

• Download the template for continuous education from here:
• Print it and bring a copy with you at each training event you take part in.
• Fill the data and ask the trainer to sign and stamp the form.
• Scan it and apply it to your re-certification form.
